WARPATH “TORTURE” & DARKNESS“DEMO1989”

Split album that brings together two
of the most representative Chilean Thrash Metal bands,
in full times of repression and dictatorship where the
national metal is, and was, a weapon of war against the
system. WARPATH band was born in 1988,
after its stop in "Rust", and then presents
this work called "TORTURE"
which is the third official Demo released in those years.
A work truly touched with the magic wand since in all
its passages throughout its reproduction you find a band
with its own label and perhaps having remained active
for many years, we could have been in the presence of
a great world band. This demo begins with “TORTURE”,
harmonies that mark a dissonant relaxation and that in
the crescendo of musical intensity marks between the acoustic
and distorted, a great start of the disc in which each
instrument imposes its presence on the whole theme, some
signals from bands such as “Voivod” and the
beginning of the first “Megadeth” albums leave
that memory a bit, but that Warpath reflects very well
in its own style. It is followed by "DISPOSICION
ENERGETICA", track that marks another variety
of experiments that gives very good results in psychedelic
and distorted riff with several cuts that go and crush
to inject more and more doses of steel into the vein,
really a masterpiece, to say something, indeterminate
changes that are very well joined to complete this song.
Already entering the abyss of this production the third
theme is called "MESS", another
madness of these demented that you cannot imagine how
they give life to riff of guitars that are not usual in
Metal bands, and here they give a class on how to shape
such barbaries of human psychosis, the lead of the guitars
and inverted chords plus the base of the bass and drums
concentrate on maintaining themes that reach more than
7 minutes without detaching yourself from the speaker.
Finally they finish off with “IN WAR”
something like the battle anthem that this production
has that goes to the fast time of doing both mosh and
headbanger, a track that goes straight to the point and
is one of those that last less than 5 minutes, in definitively
a record that marks the face A of this album that is remastered
in the studios of Spain, all managed by AGRESOR
RECORDS, which shows in this luxury and classic
12-inch Vinyl format an invaluable piece of worship, with
inlay of the time and photos of the current alignment.
We turn the vinyl and DARKNESS
"DEMO 1989" whips with its classic
record of the time in a version and sound remastered in
the Pancho Chamber Studios, "Torturer", here
we can remember another of the glories and heavy artillery
of the Country with a DeathThrash Metal apocalyptic that
perhaps bands like the French "Massacra" or
Dark riff and essence of the old "Necrophobic"
brings back to hell. We are in the presence of desolation
starting with the first track “UNDER THE
GRAVE” that over the years we appreciate
that everything is not machine and good sounds like today,
but that the essence of the true Metal reinforced the
feeling and armor that not even the alcohol of 90 degrees
could tear down… “Under the Grave” has
the brutal entrance to this demo with the battery that
does not release the blows they give and give until the
paused headbanger cut that the riffs keep deep, after
this massacre comes "SCREAM BY PAIN"
a track with an atmosphere of melancholy, guitar solos
in the background marking harmonies of the slaughter,
sacrilege of terror, which plays very well the role with
the slow tunes and that hit after a cut with the speed
and vomiting of death. It invokes later in the third role
of this desolation sacrifice the track called “STRUGGLE
TILL DEATH” which maintains the same dynamics
of the first track, and slow cuts of the second track,
changes after changes that end up leaving only skull fragments
in the floor, this track is the longest of the Demo and
it passes quickly because it hooks you as I said before
with the speed changes, but that halfway down the track
they already have the time down to apply melodies and
choirs that end for hooking the fourth and final theme
of this sepulchral work that makes its appearance underground
with the theme "ETERNAL AGONY",
which as its title says, here the agony is slow. Moments
of riff and percussion that drag a coffin slowly in their
legs, step by step, until they reach their center of destruction
with solos and changes that you may not even imagine,
although this track, even though the vowels appear at
times, is an instrument that says goodbye to a work that
reflects the beginnings of Death and the end of Thrash
of that time of glory.
Agresor Records brings together these
two great works in a cult format 12 inches 180 grams,
two faces which you reproduce at your leisure, double
album cover Gatefold with photos and credits of the time.

Disponible Álbum split que reúne dos de
las más representativas bandas del Thrash Metal
Chileno, en plenos tiempos de represión y dictadura
en donde el metal Nacional, es y era un arma de Guerra
contra el sistema.
WARPATH banda que nace en 1988 después
de su stop en “Rust”, para luego presentar
este trabajo llamado “TORTURE”
que es el tercer Demo oficial que la banda lanzo en aquellos
años. Un trabajo verdaderamente tocado con la barita
mágica puesto que en todos sus pasajes a lo largo
de su reproducción encuentras una banda con sello
propio y quizás de haber permanecido activa por
muchos años podríamos estar en presencia
de un grande mundial. Este demo comienza con “TORTURE”
armonías que marcan un relajo disonante y que en
el crescendo de intensidad musical marca entre lo acústico
y distorsionado un gran inicio de disco lo cual cada instrumento
impone su presencia en todo el tema, algunas señales
de bandas como “Voivod” y comienzo de los
primeros discos de “Megadeth” dejan un poco
ese recuerdo, pero que Warpath plasma muy bien en su propio
estilo. Le sigue “DISPOSICIÓN ENERGÉTICA”
track que marca otra variedad de experimentos que dan
muy buen resultado en los riff psicodélicos y distorsionados
con varios cortes que van y machacan a inyectarse cada
vez más dosis de acero a la vena, realmente una
obra magistral por decir algo indeterminado de cambios
que están muy bien unidos para completar esta canción.
Ya entrando en el abismo de esta producción el
tercer tema se llama “MESS”,
Otra locura de estos dementes que ni imaginas como dan
vida ha riff de guitarras que no son usuales en bandas
de Metal, eh aquí dan una clase de cómo
dar forma a semejantes barbaries de la psicosis humana,
los lead de las guitarras y acordes invertidos más
la base del bajo y batería concentran en mantener
temas que alcanzan más de 7 minutos sin despegarte
del parlante. Finalmente rematan con “IN
WAR” algo así como el himno de batalla
que tiene esta producción que va al tiempo rápido
de hacer tanto mosh y headbanger, un track que va directo
al grano y que es de los que duran menos de 5 minutos,
en definitiva un disco que marca la cara A de este álbum
que es remasterizado en los estudios de España
todo gestionado por AGRESOR RECORDS que
plasma en este formato de lujo y clásico Vinyl
12 pulgadas una pieza de culto invaluable, con inlay de
la época y fotos de la actual alineación
que está vigente.
DARKNESS“DEMO 1989”, Damos
vuelta el vinyl y DARKNESS “DEMO 1989” azota
con su clásico registro de la época en una
versión y sonido remasterizado en los estudios
“Torture Chamber” , aquí podemos recordar
otra de las glorias y artillería pesada del País
con un DeathThrash Metal apocalíptico que quizás
bandas como los Franceses “Massacra” u Oscuros
riff y esencia de los viejos “Necrophobic”
trae de regreso al infierno. Estamos en presencia de la
desolación a empezar con el primer track “UNDER
THE GRAVE” que a lo largo de los años
apreciamos que no todo es máquina y buen sonido
como hoy en día, si no que la esencia del verdadero
Metal armaba el feeling y armadura que ni el alcohol de
90 grados podía derribar… “Under the
Grave” tiene la entrada brutal a este demo con la
batera que no suelta los mazazos que dan y dan hasta el
corte de headbanger pausado que los riff mantienen a profundidad,
luego de esta masacre viene “SCREAM BY PAIN”
un track con esa atmosfera de melancolía, solos
de guitarra que de fondo, marcan armonías de la
matanza, sacrilegio del terror, que juega muy bien el
papel con las tonadas lentas y que golpean después
de un corte con la velocidad y vómitos de muerte.
Invoca más tarde en el tercer papel de este sacrificio
de desolación el track llamado “STRUGGLE
TILL DEATH” el que mantiene la misma dinámica
del primer track, y cortes lentos del segundo tema, cambios
tras cambios que terminan por dejar solo fragmentos de
cráneo en el piso, este track es el más
largo del Demo y que se te pasa rápido ya que te
engancha como decía anteriormente con los cambios
de velocidad, pero que a la mitad del track ya quedan
con el down del tiempo para aplicar melodías y
coros que terminan por enganchar el cuarto y último
tema de esta obra sepulcral que hace su aparición
bajo tierra con el tema “ETERNAL AGONY”,
que como dice su título, aquí la agonía
es eterna. Momentos de riff y percusiones que arrastran
en sus piernas un ataúd lentamente paso a paso
hasta llegar a su centro de destrucción con solos
y cambios que quizás ni imaginas, este track a
pesar que en momentos se asoman los vocales, es una instrumental
que despide esta obra que plasma los inicios del Death
y Thrash de aquella época de gloria.
Agresor Records reúne estas dos grandes obras
en un formato de culto 12 pulgadas 180 gramos de dos caras
el cual reproduces a tu antojo, portada tipo álbum
doble Gatefold con fotos y créditos de la época.
Realmente un trabajo inédito: tiraje limitado de
